In Geneva, World Health Organization has shown Occupied Jammu and Kashmir including Ladakh on its official website as a separate entity from India.
Rejecting Narendra Modi-led Indian government’s false claim on the territory of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the WHO in its colour-coded map depicted India in blue colour, while Jammu and Kashmir including Ladakh in gray colour.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference Chairman Shabbir Ahmed Dar in a statement in Srinagar hailed the World Health Organization for manifesting realistic approach on Jammu and Kashmir.
He said this kind of approach by the UN body like WHO will help in building a peaceful, secure and prosperous world which has been threatened by neo-expansionist countries like India and Israel.
Shabbir Dar said the WHO spokesman had said that the map was as per the guidelines provided by the United Nations.
In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Employees Movement , a constituent of All Parties Hurriyat Conference says India has turned the occupied territory into a military garrison. The JKEM spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that India, which claimed to be the biggest democracy, is involved in large-scale human rights violations in occupied territory.
He said that the Kashmiri people have totally rejected the illegal occupation of India and the illegal and unilateral measures of August 5, 2019.
In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian forces launched a cordon and search operation in Budgam district, today (Sunday). A joint team of army and police cordoned off Beerwah village of Bon Makhama and conducted house to house searches.The forces have sealed off all entry and exit points towards the area.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC leader Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori and Abdul Samad Inqilabi in their statements said that India has put the lives of the Kashmiri prisoners at risk particularly in the present environment of Covid-19 pandemic in Indian jails.
The statements said that several Hurriyat leaders and activists suffering from multiple physical ailments are being victimized by denying proper food and medication.
The Hurriyat leaders and organizations demanded immediate release of the detainees including Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, Mohammad Yaseen Malik, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Masarrat Aalam Butt and Aasiya Andrabi.
APHC leader Devinder Singh Behl during a visit to Rajouri said that Narendra Modi government is planning to settle non-Kashmiri Hindus in the occupied territory by depriving the Gujjar Bakrwal community of their lands.
Meanwhile, the chairman International Forum for Justice and Human Rights Mohammad Ahsan Untoo has expressed concern over involving innocent youth by Indian police in fake charges regarding the killing of prominent Kashmiri lawyer Babar Qadri.
Jammu and Kashmir People’s Association Chairman Aquib Wani addressing a party meeting in Rajouri said that Kashmiris are losing life, resources and identity due to the lingering Kashmir dispute.
