UAE, KSA Ambassadors call on Education Minster
Ambassador of UAE appreciated the vision of the PM, Imran Khan for development, betterment of the education sector in Pakistan
Islamabad: Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan called on Shafqat Mahmood, Federal Minister for Education, Professional Training & National Heritage here today in his office. Welcoming the delegate, Shafqat Mahmood appreciated the assistance extended by the Government of Saudi Arabia in various fields especially in education sector to Pakistan. During the meeting, Minister said that Pakistan values its relationship with Saudi Arabia and intends on to further strengthen its ties with the great nation. Both sides exchanged views on range of bilateral issues of mutual interest and cooperation. Furthermore, Shafqat Mahmood expressed keen interest in enhancing and promoting people to people contact and cultural exchanges between the two countries. During the course of meeting, Education Minister also desired to enhance cooperation and exchange between the two countries in the cultural fields, including heritage, museums, visual arts performing arts, literature, books and publications, language and translation, fashion, Islamic arts and culinary arts. He also apprised the Ambassador about the MOU which is to be signed soon in this regard between the two states. The Ambassador of Saudi Arabia said that there is a lot of scope of mutual cooperation in various fields including education and professional training. Also, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki appreciated the efforts of the Minister he is putting in the education sector to make it one of the best in the world. He also invited the Minister to an educational conference which is going to be held in Saudi Arabia.
Later on, Hamad Obaid Alzaabi, Ambassador of United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Pakistan also called on Shafqat Mahmood, Federal Minister for Education, Professional Training & National Heritage here today in his office. During the course of meeting, both sides discussed the various aspects of bilateral relationship and pledged to further cement them between both states. Both the dignitaries discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the realm of education, culture and skill development. Shafqat Mahmood said that UAE is the home to the second largest Pakistani Community abroad, adding that they are contributing significantly to progress of both countries. Hamad Obaid Alzaabi, Ambassador of United Arab Emirates (UAE) appreciated the vision of the Prime Minister, Imran Khan and Shafqat Mahmood for the development and betterment of the education sector in Pakistan.
