The Importance of National Integration

National integration is the awareness of a typical character among the residents of a nation. This implies that although we have a place with various ethnicities, religions, and districts and communicate in various languages, we perceive that we are all one. It isn’t only a public inclination, however, the spirit that brings individuals of all dialects and beliefs together in a comparative undertaking. ‘National Integration’ emerges through the conduct and determination of a country’s residents. It is the obligation of each individual as a citizen to restrict the powers and ideas that weaken public solidarity and integrity.

We as a whole know the very proverb ‘unity is strength’. The feeling of closeness is very influential as a determinant or catalyst in our day-to-day life just as social and public life. In the primitive age, men were distant from everyone else. They didn’t understand the notions of society and were exceptionally vulnerable around then. In the beginning phase of human progress, men could understand that without public activity or social integrity men can’t endure. Thus, they were united with each other and coordinated as a society. Men could understand that, without solidarity or national integration, no country can endure.

However, the inhabitants of Pakistan have time and again faced the problem of national integration considering constant security threats. Regionalism instead of nationalism has arisen which further leads the country to instability. Conversely, many countries face the challenge of national integration but in some cases, their leadership can integrate various groups of people by ensuring social justice, tolerance, rule of law, good governance, and democratic pluralism. Pakistan currently has been promoting the culture of merit instead of favoritism and nepotism as an essence to achieve the goal of national integration.
