Senate passes Anti-Terrorism (Alteration) Charge 2020, UNSC (Alteration) Charge 2020

The Senate on Thursday passed “The Anti-Terrorism (AlterationCharge, 2020” and “The Joined together Countries (Security Committee) (AlterationCharge, 2020”. The bills were moved by Counsel to the Prime Serve on Parliamentary Issues Babar Awan. Earlier, Chairman Standing Committee of the Upper House on Law and Equity Javed Abbasi displayed reports on these bills. Speaking on the event, he said the restriction was not against enactment related to FATF to fulfill Pakistan’s universal obligations. He said Opposition’s as it were concern was that no enactment can be utilized against the citizens of Pakistan. Javed Abbasi expressed gratitude toward the Law Serve and the government side for joining revisions proposed by the Resistance for the legislation. Foreign Serve Shah Mahmood Qureshi said thanks to the Senate individuals for favoring the enactment related to FATF and thwarting the Indian plans to thrust Pakistan towards FATF’s dark list. Speaking on floor of the House. he said Pakistan has undertaken this legislation in compliance of its obligations to implement International Court of Justice’s judgment in Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav case.
