PCB Blasters beat PCB Dynamites by 25 runs



All-rounder Aliya Riaz performance with the bat and ball has led PCB Blasters to a 25-run win over PCB Dynamites in the opening match of the National Triangular T20 Women’s Cricket Championship in National Stadium, Karachi.

Aliya scored 27 off 28 balls which included two fours and a six. Later in the second innings, she took two price wickets of Iram and Omaima Sohail which rewarded her player of the match.

Earlier Dynamites captain Nahida Riaz put Blasters to bat first and they handsomely scored 144 for five in 20 over. Javeria Khan top-scored with a 32-ball 42 including eight fours. Javeria was suPported brilliantly by Ayesha Naseem (22) for the opening stand and put a 70-run stand. Nashra Sandhu and Kainat Imtiaz claimed a wicket each.

Dynamites in reply only managed to score 119 for the loss of seven wickets. Captain Nahida and Iram scored 35 respectively. Nahida hit four fours in her 41-ball innings while Nahida showed her aggressive nature hitting three fours and two sixes respectively. Left-arm spinner Anum Amin picked up two wickets for 25. PCB Blasters will now face PCB Challengers tomorrow at the National Stadium.
