Pakistan, UAE pledges to further strengthen bilateral, fraternal ties

Islamabad: UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan telephoned Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Tuesday and briefed him on details of tragic terrorist attack in Abu Dhabi.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan extended his heartfelt condolences to Pakistani counterpart on the death of a Pakistani national in the terrorist attack.

Condemning the terrorist attack, Shah Mahmood Qureshi stressed the need to stop such incidents which are threatening regional peace.

The Foreign Minister thanked his UAE counterpart for making efforts for early repatriation of the deceased Pakistani citizen and immediate medical treatment for the injured.

that claimed several lives, including one Pakistani National. We offer our condolences to the families of the victims and wish speedy recovery to the injured.

Such attacks violate the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the UAE and pose a grave threat to the regional peace and security. Pakistan calls for their immediate cessation.

Pakistan stands in solidarity with the brotherly people and government of the United Arab Emirates in the face of this wanton act of terrorism.

Adding to this, Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Interfaith Harmony and Muttahida Ulema Council (MUC) Chairman Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi has condemned the drone attack on a United Arab Emirates (UAE) oil facility in Abu Dhabi.

To express solidarity, he paid a visit to UAE embassy and held a meeting with Ambassador Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi on Tuesday.

Ashrafi said Pakistan had close and brotherly association with the UAE and it considered the UAE’s security and stability as its own ones.

He said in the sad incident, a Pakistani had killed while two others had injured adding the Pakistan’s embassy was in constant contact with the UAE’s leadership into the matter.

He said no power on earth could damage the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.

On this occasion, the UAE ambassador offered condolences on the martyrdom of Pakistani citizen.

However, he said, the two injured of Pakistan origin were being provided the best medical facilities.

He said the UAE’s foreign minister was in complete contact with the Pakistani embassy there.

Concluding the meeting, the ambassador thanked Pakistan for the cooperation and for standing by the UAE through thick and thin.
