Pakistan attaches great importance to further deepening bilateral relations with Ukraine in all domains: COAS
Visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan's sincere efforts for bringing peace and stability in the region, especially the Afghan Peace Process
Rawalpindi: His Excellency Mr Markian Chuchuk, Ukrainian Ambassador to Pakistan called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) at GHQ, today.
During the meeting matters of mutual interest, regional security and enhanced bilateral & defence cooperation came under discussion. COAS said that Pakistan attaches great importance to furthering bilateral relations with Ukraine in all domains. Visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s sincere efforts for bringing peace and stability in the region, especially the Afghan Peace Process. Both sides reiterated the commitment for expanding bilateral engagements through structured forums and regular exchanges, particularly with respect to defence cooperation. According to ISPR, Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa, at the GHQ on Thursday.
Matters of mutual interest, including regional security issues, were discussed during the meeting. The COAS thanked the dignitary for China’s assistance in provision of COVID-19 vaccine to Pakistan and appreciated unwavering Chinese support at multiple international fora and capacity enhancement in defence and security domains.
General Bajwa said that successful completion of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would bring more benefits and prosperity to the people of both countries. Chinese envoy acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan’s contributions for regional peace and stability.
