Pak- Qatar seek enhancing bilateral cooperation especially in business trade

Islamabad: (VOM): Ambassador of State of Qatar Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulraham Al-Thani calls on Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in Parliament house today. During meeting, Speaker National Assembly welcomed intiative of Qatri government to support Pakistan for educating one million Pakistani children. He said that Pakistan and Qatar are intertwined in shared traditions and values. He said that Pakistan values high its ties with Qatar. He also said that Pakistan is a land of vast opportunities and he sought enhanced cooperation in business and trade by Qatri businessmen and traders.

Speaker Raja Pervaiz also extended strong commitment to enhance Parliamentartary cooperation between both countries. While welcoming Qatri Ambassador remarks regarding enhancing cooperation with new government, he said that Pakistan and Qatar would continue to work for regional prosperity and development.

Ambassador of State of Qatar Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulraham said that he considers himself as Pakistani and not as Qatri as he has long standing affiliation with Pakistan. He said that government of Qatar is going to educate 2.3 million children in region out of which one million children would be from Pakistan and 1.3 million would be Afghani refugees in Pakistan. He also said that Qatri government was offering five years’ work visa to five thousand Pakistan personnel for security duties.

He also said that Qatri government is donating ten Air Crafts to Pakistan Navy and three shipments of medication for needy in Pakistan. He expressed well wishes on the behalf of Chairman of Qatar Majlis Al- Shora to Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz for being elected as Speaker National Assembly.
