Little chance of resumption of dialogue as India is shy of talks: Qureshi
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Sunday said Pakistan and Indian team should play bilateral cricket in the larger interest of the sports and for the good of cricket. Talking to the media on his arrival at the Old Trafford stadium, he said Cricket is very popular in the sub-continent and Prime Minister Imran gave new identity to the game of cricket in Pakistan. Shah Mehmood Qureshi visited the Old Trafford stadium to watch Pakistan and India match in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019. About chances of cricket with India, Qureshi said there is no immediate chance as India is shy of talks with Pakistan these days. He expressed the hope that India would play cricket against Pakistan, adding that it was vital for the promotion of the game in the region as well as across the globe. Meanwhile, in a statement, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said people were utilizing the e-visa service for business, tourism and education purposes. He said e-visa policy will prove to be a milestone for promotion of tourism and strengthening of economy. Shah Mehmood Qureshi expressed hope that new e-visa policy will also stimulate economic diplomacy. According to NADRA records, 9931 evisa applications have been received so far, of which 7160 persons were granted visa immediately. Some 2,246 applications are under consideration while 325 have been rejected on technical grounds.
