NSA, German counterpart discuss regional, int’l security issues

ISLAMABAD, National Security Adviser (NSA) Dr Moeed Yusuf on Thursday called German National Security Adviser Jens Plattner and discussed regional and international security issues in detail.During the telephonic conversation, both the dignitaries agreed on the importance of continuing cooperation between the two countries, said a news release. Earlier this week, oreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi held a telephone conversation with his German counterpart Analina Beerbok today (Monday).They discussed important regional and global issues of mutual interest including bilateral relations and promotion of bilateral cooperation in various fields. Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan attaches special importance to bilateral relations with Germany. He said Pakistan is determined to further strengthen its cooperation with Germany in all areas of mutual benefit. Discussing the situation in Ukraine, the Foreign Minister apprised his German counterpart of Pakistan’s views and concerns.  Shah Mahmood Qureshi apprised his German counterpart about Prime Minister Imran Khan’s telephone conversation with President of the European Council Charles Michel.
