Japanese PM’s adviser calls on Gen Bajwa

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday reiterated support for Kashmiris under siege in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK), according to Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor. According to ISPR, the army chief visited Line of Control (LoC) to meet the troops deployed along the LoC.
Addressing the troops during his visit, the COAS Bajwa said that there will be no compromise on Kashmir cause whatever the cost. Our quest for peace must never be misconstrued as weakness. There will never be a compromise on Kashmir whatever the cost, Tweeted DG ISPR while quoting COAS Bajwa. Pakistan Army capable and fully prepared to thwart any misadventure/aggression for defence of our motherland, added COAS Bajwa.
The COAS said that Pakistan’s quest for peace should not be mistaken as weakness. There will never be a compromise on Kashmir whatever the cost. We are capable & fully prepared to thwart any misadventure/aggression for defence of our motherland, the army chief was quoted as saying by the DG ISPR.
Meanwhile, Special Adviser to Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Foreign Affairs Kentaro Sonoura called on Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters (GHQ) here on Monday. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, including overall regional security situation were discussed, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The visiting dignitary appreciated and acknowledged Pakistan’s positive role in the region, the military’s media wing said, adding both the sides reiterated the desire to further enhance bilateral relations including efforts for peace and security in the region.
