NDMA disburses cheques among fire affectees of District Dadu


Islamabad: National Disaster Management Authority has disbursed cheques amongst fire affectees of village Faiz Muhammad Daryani Chandio, Taluka Mehr, District Dadu. In a statement on Sunday, the NDMA spokesperson said that, in a tragic incident that occurred on the 18th of this month, a fire erupted due to gusty winds leaving eight people dead, three injured, and affecting 75 houses in a village in District Dadu. To ameliorate the sufferings of affectees, the Prime Minister announced an immediate package of 10 million rupees for the next-of-kin of the deceased as well as the injured and affected families of the unfortunate fire incident. The cheques were distributed by officials of NDMA under the arrangements of PDMA Sindh and Dadu District Administration.
