Naval Chief commends participation of navies in AMAN-2021 exercise despite Coronavirus
Pakistan holds massive blue economy potential: Dr. Moeed
Different foreign delegates called on Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi during the seventh Multinational Maritime Exercise AMAN-2021.
Those who held meetings with the Naval Chief included Russian Deputy Naval Chief, Deputy Commander of US New Cent, Naval Chief of Jordan, Deputy Commander of East Fleet of Saudi Navy, Commander Surface Fleet of Brazil, Flag Officer Commanding of Sri Lanka Navy and Naval Chief of Jaboti Coast Guard.
During the meetings, matters of mutual interests and the steps for joint maritime security were discussed.
On the occasion, the Naval Chief appreciated the participation of naval forces in the AMAN-2021 exercise despite Coronavirus.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Security Dr. Moeed Yousuf says Pakistan has the potential of billion dollars blue economy but we are earning only 200 million dollars from sea.
Speaking at an international maritime conference in Karachi on Sunday, he said 45 countries are participating in the ongoing Aman Exercise 2021 hosted by Pakistan Navy and it is aimed at promotion of peace in the region.
Dr Moeed Yusuf said that relations with other countries, mutual cooperation and achieving peace in the region are the goals of Pakistan.
He said that Pakistan Navy is working day and night for the promotion of Blue Economy and we should also promote coastal tourism.
