Marvel’s ‘Eternals’ confirms clash with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sooryavanshi’; kick-off 1 month countdown with new teaser
Marvel’s ‘Eternals’ are arriving in theatres on November 5th, even if it means going up against Bollywood heavyweight Akshay Kumar.
On Tuesday, the makers unveiled a new teaser trailer and began the official countdown to the film’s release that is just a month away. “Diwali just became Exciting x 10! One month for #Eternals to arrive on the big screens,” read the post on their official social media handles.
The new clip features unseen visuals and also gives us a look at the studio’s first openly gay superhero with his husband and family.
The Hollywood film is set to have a pan-India release and will also be dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
With this, the superhero film is now on a collision course with the Rohit Shetty directorial, ‘Sooryavanshi’ that will see Akshay reuniting with Katrina Kaif. While ‘Eternals’ boasts of a stellar cast, the Bollywood release also features Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn in extended cameos.
ETimes has exclusively learnt that the makers of the Akshay Kumar-led film have been calling up theatre owners to tell them that their film will not share the screens with any other movie releasing on the date that they are hitting the cinema halls (November 5, Diwali 2021).
There were whispers that this move has created a bit of an issue in the Salman Khan-Aayush Sharma starrer ‘Antim’ and the English film ‘Eternals’ as both had planned to release it on the same date.
