Kate Winslet-narrated film to teach audiences all about trees

A new environmental film narrated by Kate Winslet will be shown in town. Trees are the key, a 40-minute documentary from Tim Short, is made in conjunction with The Word Forest Organization, a Lyme Regis charity that plants trees, builds classrooms and facilitates education in rural Kenya. It will be shown at Axminster Heritage Centre on Thursday, November 21.
Nigel Sadler, manager at the heritage centre, said: “The museum and heritage sector are looking at ways to reduce their effect on the environment. This is not only in our own actions but also supporting organizations that are actively engaged in positive programmes and we feel that this is a project with very achievable goals. We are happy to be supporting them.” Following the screening, there will be a Q&A session with the team at The Word Forest Organization and filmmaker Tim Short. #TreesAreTheKey tells the story of why the world needs to plant more trees in the tropics and why we need to support the people who are taking care of the forests.
