A two-member committee of International Tennis Federation (ITF) arrived in Pakistan Tuesday to assess the measures taken by Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) to hold the Davis Cup tie between Pakistan and India. ITF team under Richard Simon visited Pakistan Sports Board, PTF complex and Hotels. The team also met PTF president Saleem Saifullah. Special Vice President of PTF Muhammad Khalid Rehmani said the all necessary arrangements have been made to hold the tie in a befitting manner.
Muhammad Khalid Rehmani said the Davis Cup tie will be played at Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad on 14 and 15 September. He said we have made all necessary arrangements to hold matches. He said the ITF team will be fully satisfied with the all administrative and security measures taken by PTF to hold the tie. This is the first time in 55 years history of Davis Cup that Indian team will be visiting Pakistan for tie.
