Indian troops martyred 22 Kashmiris in Jan 2022 in IIOK
Kashmir Day; Ashrafi to highlight Indian atrocities in Friday’s sermon
In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their unabated acts of state terrorism martyred 22 Kashmiris including a teenage boy during the last month.
Of those killed, four youth were martyred in a fake encounter, according to the data issued by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, today.
During the month, 17 youth were critically injured due to the use of brute force by Indian police and paramilitary troops on peaceful demonstrators.
During the period, the Indian Army, paramilitary Central Reserve Police force, and police arrested 45 civilians, mostly political activists, youth, and students, and several of them were booked under black laws including the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Public Safety Act.
The forces’ personnel misbehaved and molested, at least, one female and destroyed and damaged 7 houses and structures during the operations in the month.
In India illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said human life has lost its meaning and dignity in the presence of more than one million Indian occupation troops in the territory.
In a statement issued in Srinagar, the APHC spokesman strongly condemned the surge in the extrajudicial killing of Kashmiri youth by the Indian troops in Kashmir.
He deplored that the entire occupied Jammu and Kashmir has been converted into a military garrison where occupation forces are engaged in a fight with the local population without discrimination of age and gender.
Meanwhile, relatives of the martyred youth assembled outside the Police Control Room in Srinagar and staged a protest to press for the return of the bodies of their beloved ones.
On the other hand, in utter embarrassment for India, the World Health Organization has shown Jammu and Kashmir as separate entities from India on the world map posted on its website.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister’s Aide on Interfaith Harmony Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi Tuesday said Ulema and Mashaikh from all schools of thought would mark ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day by highlighting the issue in Friday’s sermon across the country.
Addressing a press conference here, he said they would bring to the notice of the general public about the inhuman and degrading treatment with Kashmiri brethren by Indian occupational forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) at the grassroots level.
Ashrafi said on February 5, all religious and political leadership of the country would observe the day with national fervor to express solidarity with their Kashmiri brothers in IIOJK.
He said it was the united stance of all the people of the country that Kashmir was a jugular vein of Pakistan. He said on the issue of Kashmir, the government was raising its voice at every fora.
Citing the recent meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s foreign ministers which were having one-point agenda of Afghanistan, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan vehemently spoke on Kashmir and Palestine at this forum to bring the issues in the limelight of the Muslim Ummah’s leadership.
