Pakistan’s national security advisor, Moeed Yusuf, holds India responsible for the Lahore bombing which took place on the 23rd of June, outside the residence of Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba. 3 people were killed and 24 more were severely injured.
On Sunday, during a news conference, Moeed Yusuf stated, “We have identified the main mastermind and the handlers of this terrorist attack, and we have absolutely no doubt or reservation in informing you that the main mastermind belongs to RAW, the Indian intelligence agency, is an Indian national and is based in India.”
Dr. Yusuf said that through forensic analysis, as well as electronic devices recovered from the terrorists, they were able to pinpoint the responsibility on RAW. He also said that the main mastermind behind this attack has been identified and will be handled with. The name has not yet been released.
In a press conference, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Punjab Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Inam Ghani stated that the police and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) investigated the case quickly and apprehended 10 terrorists, including suspects working as facilitators for an international terror network.
It is becoming clear that India has teamed up with Pakistani nationals such as David Peter and Eid Gul; 2 terrorists who were involved in the blast; to bomb Pakistan, specifically targeting Hafiz Saeed in this situation. Although they failed their mission, they did manage to injure and kill civilians.
Prime Minister, Imran Khan, has also come out with a statement on Twitter saying, “the planning & financing of this heinous terror attack has links to Indian sponsorship of terrorism against Pakistan” For the Prime Minister to come out with such a statement, there may soon be a serious conflict between the two countries regarding this situation.
Indian officials have yet to respond to these accusations and statements.
