Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhary Fawad Hussain has said the PTI government has set the tradition of presenting its performance before the masses.

Talking to the PTV News in Islamabad on Thursday, he said Prime Minister Imran Khan in his address today will present government’s three-year performance as well as dilate upon the future strategy.

The information minister said the PTI government which worked for justice; humanity and dignity of the country will be on display today.

Chaudhary Fawad Hussain said the previous governments did not have the courage to present their performance before the masses but we have the courage to do it with pride.

The information minister said every ministry’s performance will be put before the masses as to what it did to fulfill the promises made with them.  He said we will present our case with facts and figures.

Chaudhary Fawad Hussain said an additional income of eleven hundred billion rupees reached the farmers as a result of interventions made by the government in the agriculture sector.

The information minister said we brought reforms in various ministries including Ministry of Information and Broadcasting as well as Science and Technology.

He said Pakistan’s positive role in Afghanistan is being commended by the world community.

In his remarks on the occasion, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib pointed out that Prime Minister Imran Khan inherited difficult economic situation. He however expressed satisfaction that today the country’s foreign exchange reserves stand at twenty billion dollars.

Exports remained 25.4 billion dollars during the last fiscal year and if the contribution of services sector is also added then these touched 31 billion dollars mark. Remittances, he said, were recorded at 29.4 billion dollars. Farrukh Habib said under the umbrella of Ehsaas program, several initiatives have been taken to protect the vulnerable segments of the society.
