Naval Chief conferred with the highest Military Medal of UAE

RAWALPINDI, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa Thursday said continuation of inhuman military siege, machinations to bring demographic changes and gross violations of human rights and international laws are perpetuating humanitarian and security crises in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) that imperil regional security. Director General Inter Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar took to Twitter to share the message of Army Chief on ‘Youm-e- Istehsaal’ Kashmir.“ Resolution of Kashmir dispute as per UN Resolutions and aspirations of Kashmiri people is imperative for enduring peace and stability in the region,” the COAS said.

Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi Thursday expressed solidarity with the people of Kashmir on Youm-e-Istehsal.

“The sacrifices of the Kashmiri people will not go in vain. The Kashmir issue should be resolved in accordance with UN resolutions and wishes of   people of Kashmir”, said the Naval Chief in a tweet shared by DGPR of Pakistan Navy. Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sindhu Thursday said international community should not forget its responsibility towards the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

” We will continue to pursue a firm policy of political, moral and diplomatic support to the people of IIOJ&K in their struggle for the right to self-determination,” he said.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi has been conferred with the highest Military Medal of the United Arab Emirates during an impressive award ceremony held at UAE Embassy in Islamabad today (Thursday).

According to the spokesperson of Pakistan Navy, the Medal was conferred to the Naval Chief by Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE Armed forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in recognition of his outstanding professional services and efforts to enhance bilateral relations and cooperation between the two brotherly countries. Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi is the first Naval Chief to receive this Medal.
