Rawalpindi: Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan, Chief of Air Staff (CAS), on his farewell visit, called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) at GHQ, today.
COAS thanked the CAS for his services to the Nation during a long and illustrious career. COAS also appreciated CAS’s dynamic leadership and professionalism displayed during op “Swift Retort” and critical support rendered in the fight against terrorism. Because of his immense efforts and quality leadership, Pakistan Air Force today is a force second to none.
Earlier on arrival at GHQ, the CAS was presented Guard of Honour at Yadgar-e-Shuhada.
Earlier, Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan paid a farewell call on Director General Inter-Services Intelligence Lieutenant General Faiz Hamid. DG ISI received the Service Chief. DG ISI thanked the Air Chief for his contribution in enhancing the professional capability of PAF during his illustrious career. CAS also appreciated ISI’s performance in guarding and furthering national interests.
Earlier ISPR reported that Sepoy Roshan Ali Shaheed (martyr) of Pakistan Rangers Sindh who embraced martyrdom in a bomb blast near Rangers vehicle in Orangi Town the other day was laid to rest with full military honor after his Namaz-e-Janaza in Karachi on Tuesday.
The martyred Sepoy’s funeral prayer (Namaz -e-Janaza) was attended by Corps Commander Karachi, Lieutenant General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum, Director General Rangers Sindh, Senior civil and military officials and relatives of Shaheed, said an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release.
The Shaheed was buried with full military honor. Sepoy Roshan Ali embraced Shahadat in Orangi Town Karachi due to bomb blast near Rangers Vehicle, it said.
The Shaheed belonged to village Budhal Khan Solangi, District Noushahro Feroze, and has four sons and a daughter.
