Burn’s injury causes England to ban football in warm-ups

England have decided to ban football in warm-ups after opener Rory Burns suffering from horrifying ankle injury yesterday at the practice session.

Director of England’s men’s teams, Ashley Giles and Head coach Chris Silverwood have decided to ban the game in the warm-ups.

Burns ended up on serious ligament damage to his ankle that ruled him out of the rest of the series in South Africa and will fly back to England. In the past, Jonny Bairstow, James Anderson, and Joe Denly also got injured due to playing football.

Burns was the highest run-scorer for England in the second innings of the first Test in Centurion against South Africa. Proteas are 1-0 up in the four-match series.
