An Astroturf hockey stadium of international standard has been completed at Ayub National Park here. This facility will promote national hockey and provide state of the art sports facilities. The Astroturf Stadium was a joint venture of Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL) and Army Heritage Foundation.

Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa was the chief guest on inaugural hockey match played between Pakistan Greens and Pakistan White. The Army Chief appreciated MPCL for efforts to revive the national game of hockey.
