According to the details released by the National Locust Control Center, joint teams of Agriculture Department, Food Security and Pakistan Army are conducting a comprehensive survey and control operation against locusts in different districts of the country. 966 joint teams in the affected areas of 31 districts are conducting this campaign. So far, an area of ​​67.394701 square kilometers (approximately 9.75 crore acres) has been surveyed and a controlled operation has been carried out on 07.10491 square kilometers (approximately 92.25 lakh acres). More than 5,064 people and 645 vehicles took part in the survey and control operation.

  • In the last 24 hours, 238054 acres were surveyed in Punjab province. 2282 people (including Pakistan Army) and 323 vehicles took part in the survey. So far 90.2 crore acres have been surveyed and 1131347 acres have been operated across the province.

In the last 24 hours in Sindh province, 96880 acres were surveyed and 6 districts (Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Nowshero Feroze, Tharparkar and Khairpur) were operated on 6326 acres in the presence of locusts. 627 people (including Pakistan Army) and 97 vehicles took part in the survey and control operation. So far, surveys have been conducted on 032 million acres and operations have been carried out on 159919 acres across the province.

  • In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, 175964 acres were surveyed in the last 24 hours. The survey involved 847 people (including Pakistan Army) and 106 vehicles. So far, surveys have been conducted on 50.1 million acres and operations have been carried out on 154527 acres across the province.
