ISLAMABAD, Dec 14 (APP): The Jammu and Kashmir Youth Social Forum (JKYSF) has urged the United Nations and other world major powers to intervene for settlement of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.

JKYSF spokesman Shafiq Ahmad strongly denounced the continued harassment, arrest and anti-Kashmir designs of Modi regime asking New Delhi to give up its oppressive policies towards Kashmir, and pave the way for settlement of the dispute in its historical perspective, Kashmir Media Service reported.

He reiterated to continue freedom struggle till its logical conclusion.  The present Indian government as per its manifesto is specifically targeting minorities and depriving them of their basic religious rights. The world has started taking notice of the discriminatory Indian policies towards the minorities. There is no doubt that Modi-led government’s policies are not only a threat to India itself, but also dangerous for the entire region. India will continue its aggressive policies until and unless the political and diplomatic pressure is mounted on it by the world. UNSC, OIC and other organizations have to play a vital role in this regard. Pakistan, on its end, has effectively highlighted Indian aggressive and discriminatory policies before the world.

Meanwhile, a JKYSF delegation visited the grave of martyr Burhan Wani in Pulwama and paid tributes to him and other martyrs of Kashmir. A latest report on Indian state terrorism in Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir says the plight of Kashmiris has deepened since the revocation of special status of the territory on August 5th last year. The analytical report by Kashmir Media Service says over one million Indian troops have been deployed in every nook and corner of the territory to brutally suppress Kashmiris. Meanwhile, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir says serious human rights violations continue with impunity in the territory.

Hurriyat leaders Bilal Ahmed Sidiqui and Shabbir Ahmed Dar in their statements in Srinagar paid rich tributes to Mahaz-e-Azadi founder, Sufi Mohammad Akbar and renowned Islamic scholar Shams-ul-Haq on their anniversaries. International human rights champions must take notice of Indian unilateral decision on the status of the valley and force New Delhi to stop committing its massive human rights violations and genocide in IIOJ&K. On the other hand, family members of three Kashmiris who were arrested by the Delhi Police a few days ago in a false case held a protest demonstration during BJP’s rally in Budgam and urged the authorities to release them. Indian troops launched cordon and search operations in Sopore, Tangmarg, Kulgam and areas of Poonch. Meanwhile, In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred two Kashmiri youth in Poonch district today (Sunday).According to Kashmir Media Service, the youth were martyred during a cordon and search operation in Dugran area along the Mughal road. The operation was underway till filing of the report. More details are awaited.
